HERSHEYPARK OFFERS GUESTS THE OPPORTUNITY TO
“PLAY BEFORE YOU RIDE”
Hershey, PA — Reese’s Xtreme Cup Challenge, the world’s first interactive dark ride to pit car against car in a multi-sensory laser competition, will debut on May 6, 2006 at Hersheypark. For the first time in the Park’s 99-year history, guests will have a chance to practice online prior to their actual ride experience in the Park.
Reese’s Xtreme Cup Challenge: The Game debuts April 17 and provides an opportunity for players to learn about the new ride, compete in online competition, become eligible for prizes, and register to win a trip to Hersheypark to be among thefirst to ride Reese’s Xtreme Cup Challenge on its opening day – May 6.
The new site can be accessed at Hersheypark.com; clicking on a flash animation will take players directly to the site. Players also can buy Hersheypark tickets online to facilitate planning their visit.
The lucky winner of the May 6 ride will be chosen April 25 and will win a prize package that also includes eight Hersheypark day passes, a two-night stay at Hershey Lodge, tickets to a number of attractions in Hershey, and a Hershey’s chocolate basket.
Beginning April 28 and continuing weekly through August 25, all players age 18 and older who play the game and submit their score can enter to win a four-pack of Hersheypark day passes for the 2006 season.
Reese’s Xtreme Cup Challenge represents the first partnership between Hersheypark and The Hershey Company, maker of Reese’s peanut butter cups, one of the best known and best loved brands in the world. The new site is the collaborative effort of the Hershey Entertainment & Resorts Co. Creative Services and Interactive teams.
